Series Title: Library Services project files, 1971-1972
Description: From its founding in 1817, the State Library has supplied information and provided services to state officials and legislators. The State Library is governed by a State Library Board, whose members are appointed by the State Board of Education and confirmed by the Ohio Senate. Today, the Library, through the adoption of state legisation and its use of federal funds, assists local libraries to develop and manage services and programs. The project files consist of library services project applications, evaluations, funding level reports, and acceptance or rejection letters written by the State Library staff. The files also contain correspondence, reports, proposals, and contracts between the State Library Board and the institution receiving the grant funds.
