Description: The Ohio Department of Administrative Services' Division of State Personnel maintains the job classification plan and salary schedule for state employees. The director of state personnel periodically reviews and updates the plan in response to collective bargaining agreements, legislative actions, or other initiatives; and initiates public hearings concerning changes in the plan. Final changes in the state classification plan are subject to confirmation by the General Assembly. The public hearing files contain the proceedings of hearings for changes in the state classification plan. These changes may include such issues as the establishment of new or additional job classifications, or the abolishment of existing classifications. The files also contain public hearing notices and affidavits of publication.
