The Attorney General is the state's chief law enforcement officer
and legal adviser, and serves as legal counsel to the Governor and
other statewide elected officals, the Ohio General Assembly, and
all state departments, agencies, boards and commissions. Various sections of the Attorney General's office include: Criminal Identification and Investigation; Business and Government Regulation; Charitable Foundations; Children's Protection; Civil Rights; Environmental Enforcement; Health Care Fraud; Labor Relations; Ohio Organized Crime Investigation Commission; and Peace Officer Training Academy.
