The Department of Agriculture serves as the administrative branch of state government empowered to make rules and regulations
regarding all aspects of statutory duties concerning agriculture,
consumer protection, and the conduct of county and independent fairs. The agency is composed of nine divisions: Administration; Animal Industry; Fairs and Amusement Ride Safety; Foods, Dairies and Drugs; Markets; Meat Inspection; Plant Industry; Weights and
Measures; and the Consumer Information Center.
