to the restoration of Adena, the Ohio Historical Society's premiere Ohio Bicentennial
project.
Presenters will not only provide you with the "how-to" of preserving and rehabilitating
historic property, but will also discuss how to deal with the challenges of
restoration. Topics will include:
- Historical research methods
- Exterior restoration
- Selecting period wallpapers and paints
- Appropriate textiles for windows and bed coverings
- Wood graining
- Floor coverings and lighting
- and other aspects of preservation and restoration.
Whether you're renovating your own home or simply want to learn more about
historic preservation, this is an opportunity to visit one of Ohio's most outstanding
restorations and talk to experts.
