The Ohio Historical Society's audiovisual collections document Ohio's social, geographic, political, and economic history and the lives of Ohioans both in and out of the state. The Archives/Library also has a number of photographs relating to the pre-history of the area that is now the state of Ohio. Audiovisual collections include:
OHS recently acquired the archives of Joe Munroe, a photojournalist, filmmaker, and environmental activist, and is pleased to provide an online exhibit of selected photographs.
The Audiovisual Section also administers the photo-duplication and reproduction services for the society. Nearly all the materials held by the Ohio Historical Society can be reproduced for research and/or publication within the parameters of the Copyright Law and for a modest fee.
