Don't miss the Ohio Village Season Opening Weekend on May 25th and 26th as the Ohio Village kicks off the summer season with a Civil War Reenactment and Living History Weekend!

 


 

Travel back to the early 20th century on May 11 from 7:00 to 9:30 pm for Pleasure of the Cup: Drinks of the Speakeasy. Join us for this trip back through time to a world of “blind pigs,” bathtub gin, and flappers. Costumed interpreters will escort you through the underground world of the Ohio Village as you learn how the 18th Amendment sent alcohol from public bars and taverns to secret watering holes.  The Glorious 4th is a late-19th century Independence Day celebration held on July 4 from 12:00 to 5:00 pm. Enjoy a leisurely afternoon of old-fashioned family activities to celebrate the nation's independence at this re-created 19th-century village, including a Grand Procession, patriotic speeches, Muffins base ball, a concert by the Ohio Village Singers, dancing, a brass band concert and much more! Admission is $12/adult and $9/ages 6-12 ($10/Ohio Historical Society member adult and $7/Ohio Historical Society member child), children 5 and under are FREE. During All Hallows' Eve enjoy an evening of old-fashioned Halloween fun with spooky stories by the bonfire, pumpkin carving, creepy characters like the village gravedigger and lost souls like Krazy Kate, plus 19th-century style entertainment like fortune telling, crafts, games, and more! October 12 & 19, 5:30 to 9:30 pm. Admission is $12/adult and $9/ages 6-12 ($10/Ohio Historical Society member adult and $7/Ohio Historical Society member child), children 5 and under are FREE. Pleasure of the Cup: Drinks of the 19th Century on December 7 from 7:00 to 9:30 pm is a fun way to sample quirky yet tasty concoctions as you explore the world of 19th-century adult beverages at select Ohio Village buildings. It's like an old-fashioned pub crawl! Participants must be 21 years of age and up. Reservations are required. Cost is $35/adult and $30/Ohio Historical Society member. Dickens of a Christmas, held this year on December 13, 14, 20, and 21 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm and December 22 from 12:00 to 5:00 pm, transforms Ohio Village with Victorian-era crafts, decorations, caroling, cooking demonstrations and traditions inspired by his festive vision of Christmas. Admission to Dickens of a Christmas at Ohio Village is $12 ($9/ages 6-12), $10/Ohio Historical Society member ($7/Ohio Historical Society member ages 6-12). Parking is free.
