Spooky?  Maybe even creepy? Get up close and personal with examples of Halloween celebrations past and memorial objects that show us how people remember those who have passed on. Curator Lisa Wood will share collection objects such as death photos and mourning jewelry with those brave enough to stop by!

Top Ten Masterpieces of the Hopewell Culture

Join Curator of Archaeology Brad Lepper for a tour of the most spectacular artifacts from the Hopewell culture.  Two thousand years ago, Ohio’s Hopewell culture created gigantic monuments and gathered a variety of exotic raw materials from the ends of their world, which their artisans shaped into magnificent works of art. What can we learn about this ancient American Indian society based on these extraordinary objects? Join us for a guided tour focusing on ten star objects and the stories the science of archaeology allows us to tell about them.
