Meeting Venues

Capacity: 50  Classroom style

The museum’s educational classroom offers yet another space for afternoon, evening or weekend programs, based on availability.    The room is conveniently located on the 3rd floor next to the Archives/Library Conference Room and is furnished with up to 50 chairs, screen and whiteboard. Tables are available from the Society for a nominal fee.

Capacity: 24 conference style   40 theater style

This conference room is located on the third floor of the Ohio   History Center across from the Archives/Library. This room is furnished with comfortable cushioned chairs and portable conference tables. There is a built-in white board for scribing and counter space for refreshment breaks.

Capacity: 284

Contemporary in design, the auditorium is used for meetings, seminars and presentations. The room features a stage, podium with microphone and comfortable seating. Additional audiovisual equipment available with on-site technical support.

Capacity: 200 Classroom   200 Theater

The second level of the center provides a unique setting for Meetings. Surrounded by windows that afford an excellent view of the Columbus skyline, the Plaza Terrace can be set in of the sections or all 4.

* Round Tables and chairs for 120 people are included in rate. Space is only available during non-public hours for meetings.

Capacity: 80 lecture   200 stand-up

One of the largest buildings in Ohio Village, the town hall offers  a unique setting for lectures, performances and business meetings. A small stage is located in the front of the room, and Hitchcock-style chairs can be arranged in a variety of ways. The town hall may be booked in combination with the American House Hotel, or individually.

A fireplace serves as the focal point for this 1860s dining area. Larger and more rustic in appearance than the American House’s more intimate dining facilities, the traditionally decorated dining room is a popular place for meetings, lectures, and dinning.

Capacity: 40 Theater  40 Banquet

The American House Victorian Dining Room is the older section of the inn. Decorated to accurately reflect the 1860s time period of Ohio Village, this section also features the Elk’s Head Tavern, the hotel office, and a lobby area. Intimate dining and and receptions are offered here, as well as business meetings and small corporate gatherings. Add the adjoining Elk’s Head Tavern for complete bar service.

Capacity: 225

The Ohio Village Church provides a dramatic setting for private weddings, lectures and performances. Inside the Gothic-style  structure is a sanctuary, vestibule and ladies parlor fashioned after a typical church of the period. The balcony, containing two sections of pews seating 80 people, extends overhead from the sanctuary’s entrance. The church may be booked in combination with the American House Hotel for small receptions or the Ohio History Center for large receptions.
