This is a great addition to your holiday party which allows your guests to explore the Ohio Village as the spirit of Charles Dickens comes to life!  The characters from A Christmas Carol roam the village offering entertainment, crafts, decorations, caroling, cooking demonstrations and samplings. Enjoy these and many more Victorian holiday traditions inspired by Dickens’ colorful tales.

Village Gossip Tours
Village Gossip Tours

Find out the inside scoop about life in the Ohio Village with a tour from one of the “Village Residents.”  Regardless of whom the gossip is, your group will enjoy a walking/talking tour highlighting selected shops and areas of the village. The village resident will entertain with anecdotes about the other  village “occupants” and their goings on in the village. This addition is wonderful for that holiday luncheon.

The threat of “impending doom” has passed and Scrooge returned to his old selfish, nasty ways.  Now the American House is up for sale and Scrooge’s nephew, Fred, is thinking of buying it. Scrooge has his suspicions of odd business dealings and, unknown to anyone, has hired a private detective to investigate. 

As you partake in a hearty buffet, complete with Mrs. Cratchet’s famous Figgy pudding, you will interact with characters from “A Christmas Carol” and then be asked to help solve the mystery. Keep your wits about you, because you don’t know who will be next.

A Red Herring: Mystery theater program

After the Soviets launched a successful Nuclear test in 1949, American’s begin to eye their neighbors suspiciously, believing that Soviet spies must have passed nuclear technology from the United States to Russia.  To enlist the help of The Press and to calm public fears, a lavish dinner is sponsored by The House Committee for Un-American Activities.  At the dinner, a prominent Senator is murdered. 

Conspiracy, accusations, and deception abound as one of the reporters reveals that he is actually an FBI agent and begins an investigation. Before the night has ended a number of  “Red Herrings” are all thrown into the mix and guests become involved in the questioning and decoding.  As the night comes to a close all the evidence is collected to reveal who is the Soviet spy and the one who killed the chairman.
