15th Ohio Cup Vintage Base Ball Festival, September 2 & 3, 2006

The Ohio Historical Society will host the oldest and largest gathering of vintage base ball clubs in the country at the 15th annual Ohio Cup Vintage Base ball Festival. Twenty-eight clubs from seven states are scheduled to take part. Each club will wear uniforms representative of their era. Matches will be played according to the written rules of 1860. On both Saturday, September 2 and Sunday, September 3 play will begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at 5:00 p.m. Matches will begin on the hour and last approximately fifty minutes, or seven innings.

Four fields will be used, the meadow in Ohio Village, and three playing fields near the entrance to the Ohio Historical Society on 17th Avenue. The public can attend the 15th Ohio Cup by paying admission to the Ohio Historical Center. Regular admission is $7.00 for adults and $3.00 for students. There is a parking charge of $4.00 per vehicle. OHS members are of course free of charge.
