Ohio Village is designed to recreate the appearance of a typical county-seat town in Ohio during the mid 19th century, about the time of the Civil War. Adjacent to the Ohio Historical Center in Columbus, this location remains open as it has for nearly 20 years, to school groups, for private events, and special public events.

We’re pleased to report that we have increased public events in the Ohio Village. In mid-2006, we added a four-season tent, the Presidents Pavilion, which can accommodate up to 450 people, significantly increasing our capacity for public and private indoor events.
The Ohio Village Muffins and the Lady Diamonds,
19th-century baseball teams, are fielded by Ohio Historical Society volunteers.
The Ohio Village Muffins, founded in 1981, have been featured in Sports
Illustrated and the Wall Street Journal, and on National
Public Radio and ABC-TV's Good Morning America. Home
games begin in May and continue into September.
