photo of Warren G. Harding and his wife at the front porch links to Ohio Pix database page, AL00777Warren G. Harding launched himself into the White house in 1920 with his famous "front porch" campaign, which he conducted from his Victorian home in Marion, Ohio.

Modern photograph of the Harding Home, AL01015The restored house was built in 1891 and contains almost all original furnishings owned by President Harding and his wife Florence. The library was renovated in 2005. Adjacent to the Harding Home is a press house used during the 1920 campaign which now serves as a museum dedicated to President and Mrs. Harding's lives.

AAA and senior discounts given. Military discounts are available to all active military and their dependents.

Groups
The Harding Home welcomes groups tours. The site offers tiered pricing, with discounts for groups of 20 or more people starting at $.50 off the regular admission rates. To receive the group discount, reservations are required and can be made by calling the site. Complimentary admission are given to the bus driver and escort of motorcoach groups visiting the Harding Home. The site has a variety of special programs available for groups, like punch and cookies served in the historic Press House upon the conclusion of the group tour. Please call 800-600-6894 for more group tour information and booking reservations.

School Tours
The Harding Home and Museum would like to extend an invitation to all schools to visit the home. Free curriculum materials can be obtained by downloading the material from the Harding teacher page or by calling the site.
