Dunbar StreetVisit the restored home of poet Paul Laurence Dunbar, located 15 minutes off I-75 in Dayton, Ohio. His poems and short stories reflect his observations of society and the experience of his parents, both former slaves. Groups will discover the short but prolific life of the man who became known as the poet laureate of African Americans as they tour this turn-of-the-century home. Guides give life to his writings, making the tour one that will not be forgotten. Groups can also choose from special programs to learn more about Paul Laurence Dunbar. Admission for the motorcoach driver and escort is complimentary with groups of 20 or more. All Ohio Historical Society sites have tiered discount rates for tour operators and are very reasonable.
