Billis (a Delaware Indian) was sentenced for a rape committed on the body of a white woman. 9th. He commissioned Ichabald Corwin Captain, Charles Welverton Lieutenant, and Willis Pierson Ensign in the fifth Battalion of the fourth Regiment of Hamilton Militia. 10th. He appointed Joseph Darlington a Justice of the Common pleas of Adams County. 11th. He appointed to the same Office in that County Israel Donaldson. 12th He commissioned William Kingkaid a Justice of the Court of Quarter Sessions of the peace in Adams County. 13 He appointed David Edee to the same office in the same County. 14th. He commissioned John Ellison to that office in the said County. 15th. He appointed Henry Massie a Justice of the Court of Common Pleas for the County of Ross -- June 16th. He appointed Isaac Davis to the same office in that County -- 17th. He commissiond Reubin Abrams to the aforesaid Office in the said County -- 18th. He appointed Joseph Yardner a Justice of the Peace in and for the same County 19. He commissioned Jacob Smith to the office in the County aforesaid. |
