He appointed James Converse Cornoer of the County of Fairfield; Thomas Ceonaw[?] Surveyor; Hugh Boyle, and William Trimble, Justices of the Peace; and Hugh Boyle Clerk of the Orphans Court, vice Denny resigned; Samuel Carpenter Lieutenant Colonel Commandant of the Militia of Fairfield, Samuel Kratzer, and Kezikiah Smith, Majors; Emanuel Carpenter Treasurer of the same County.

He appointed James Furguson and Ruben Abrams Justices of the Peace for the County of Ross.
