any of the towns in the Counties where they respectively reside, equal in value to the medium value of fifty acres of land in the Same Counties, are to be considered as duly qualified, as to property. And the Sheriffs of the Counties, or the Coroners, Coroners, in case of any contingency whereby it may be impossible for the Sheriffs to attend, Shall hold the Said Elections in the Counties for which they are respectively appointed, at the time and places before mentioned, and in the Manner as by the Writs to them directed is required. Given at Cincinnati &c. &c. Nathaniel Massey & Benjiman Gooden Justices of the Court of Common Pleas & of the Court of the General Quar- ter Sessions of the Peace for the County of Adams having Misdemened themselves in the execution of their office by attempting to disturb the regular administration of Justice by adjourning the sessions of the said Courts of Genl. Quarter Sessions of the Peace & of the Common pleas to meet at Manchester where they had been duly & regularly appointed to be held thereafter at Washington and fixed at that place by a Proclamation of the Governor. -- Letters patent were this day Issued revo- king the Commissions of Justices of the Common pleas es & Justice of the Peace for the County of Adams heretofore held by the said Nathaniel Massie & Benjn. Gooden. On the Same day writs were issued the Sheriffs of each County in the Territory Authoriseing & requiring them |
