Wishes to my Correspondent and the Command- ant of the militia at Randolph County to make all necessary Communication to me without Delay and to forward to me by Express the very first Intelligence they may receive that shall seem to portend Ill to our Country - making myself responsible for the Expense, though I am not furnished with the means - for which Sir I take Leave to request your Consideration as also to repeat my Desires, at least, that the Governour' s Official Correspondence within the Territory be exempt from Tax as I ex- perience the same a very great Injury to my small Income.
