gislature of the Territory should be assem- bled at some convenient place as soon as may be and the City of marietta appear- ing to me to be the most proper place for the next Session, I have thought fit to issue this my Proclamation requiring the several members of the Legislature, And they are hereby required to meet together at the City of marietta in the County of Washington on the tenth Day of march next ensuing then and there to take into Consideration and do and perform all such matters and things as to them belongs touching the Welfare and Prosperity of the people
Given under my hand and the Seal of the Territory at marietta the 23d. Day of December one thousand seven hundred and ninety four and in the Eighteenth year of the Independence of the United States. Signed Ar. St. Clair
