November the 13th. 1793 His Excellency was pleased to appoint John Mercer Esquire to be a Justice of the Peace for the County of Hamil- ton and he was commissioned accordingly.

December the 7th. 1793 The Governour issued his Proclamation commanding a strict neutrality to be observed towards the Crown of Spain, and other Powers not at War with the United States.

Copy of this Journal to the 30th. June 1794 has been transmitted to the President of the United States.

Militia Orders
Dean Tyler Gentleman is appointed an Ensign in the first Regiment of militia of Washington County -- and as such is to be obeyed and respected - He is to take Rank from the 1st. Day of April in the present Year.
