It is incumbent upon me by this the earliest Opportunity which has presented to make unto you official Information of the flagrant Disorders and Violation of the Laws and peace of this Territory which commen- ced in the Town of Cincinnati the Evening preceding Christmas and have continued with very little Intermission to this Time --

How soon the Consequences may be fatal to some of the Inhabitants I know not but of the propriety of your immediate official Interference I am persuaded you will be con- vinced upon the receipt of this - The Town is every night alarmed by an almost constant Discharge of Fiie Arms, ac- companied with the savage Yell, and ma- ny houses bear the marks of those Arms have been highly charged with very deadly Weapons --
