December the lth. George McCullom Esquire was appointed and commissioned a Justice of the Peace for the County of Hamilton by the Secretary, And upon the same Day the military Commissions were made out agreeably to the Order and Appointments of the 10th. of De- cember and bearing that Date. Orders to the militia of Hamilton County - Cincinnati Decemr. the 27th. 1791 - Levi Woodward Esqr. is appointed a Captain, John Vance and John Wallace Lieutenants, and Isaac Freeman an Ensign -- All in the first Regt. of militia of the County of Hamilton and they are to be obeyed and respected as such. The Resignaticn of Scott Traverse a Lieutenant is accepted. Ensign Kibbey is promoted to a Lieutenancy and to take Rank from the 9th. of December 1791. It is expected that the Attention of every Officer will be given to the exercising of the militia agreeably to the Laws of the Territory and the Spirit of their Commissions - The Regu- lations require that they be assembled upon the first or last Day of every Week in Companies |
