to the Form inserted in Pages 16th. & 17th. of this Vol:
Their Commissions bearing Date January 4th. 1790 --
January the 5th. His Excellency was pleas'd to fix the
Terms of the County Courts for the County of
Hamilton by the following Proclamation Viz:
"Territory of the United States
North West of the River Ohio"
"By his Excellency Arthur St. Clair Esqr.
Governour & Commander in Chief." --
Whereas by the Laws for establishing Courts of general
Quarter Sessions of the Peace & County Courts of common
Pleas it is enacted that Courts of general Quarter Sessions
shall be holden & kept four Times in every Year in
each County & the County Courts of common Pleas at
two fixed Periods, & having found it necessary to lay
out a Part of the Territory between the two Miami
Rivers into a new County by the Name & Style of the
County of Hamilton I do hereby require & enjoin the
Justices of the Peace for the said County to hold their
Courts of general Quarter Sessions of the Peace at the
Town of Cincinnati on the first Tuesdays in
February, May, August, & November next & so on unless
the same shall be altered by Law. - And the Judges
of the Court of Common Pleas are required and en-
joined to hold the County Court of common Pleas at
