January the 2d. 1790 -- Lade my third Official Communications -- And addressed to His Excel- lency the President. -W.S.

On the 2d. of January His Excellency arrived at Fort Washington in the Purchase of Judge Symmes & on the 4th. was pleased to order & direct that the whole of the Lands lying & being within the following Boundaries Viz: Beginning on the Bank of the Ohio River at the Confluence of the little Miami & down the said Ohio River to the Mouth of the big Miami & up said Miami to the stan- ding Stone Forks or Branch of said River & thence with a Line to be drawn due East to the little Miami & down said little Miami River to the Place of Beginning should be a County by the Name & Style of the County of Hamilton And the same was accordingly laid off agreeably to the Form Pages 14th. & 15th. of this Vol: -- (And on the same Day Commissions for the County Courts of Common Pleas & general Quarter Sessions of the Peace for the said County were granted by the Governour
