January the 24th. His Excellency was pleased to com- mission Mr Charles Greene a Coroner in the County of Washington - to be continued during Pleasure. The Form of the Commission as the Sheriff's -- "mutatis mutan- dis" -- see the Sheriff's Commission Page 21st. Vol: 1st. January the 24th. His Excellency appointed George Ingersoll Esqr. to the Command of a Company of Artillery in the County of Washington -- Joseph Prince first Lieut & William Balch Gentleman Second Lieut in said Company, And their Commissions were made out accordingly as per Form in Pages 16 & 17th. Vol: lst. And bearing Date the 24th. Jany 1789. -- Anselmn Tupper Gentleman was appointed a Lieut in the Regiment of Militia of the County of Was- hington, Vice Captain Ingersol promoted, -- & commissd. accordingly - to take Rank from the 1st. of August 1788. On the 16th. of April 1789 his Excellency was pleased to grant to Enoch Parsons Esquire the Commissions of Register of Deeds for the County of Washington & Clerk of the Court of Probate for the same County, which Commissions recd the Seal of the Territory on the 14th.
