To all Persons to whom these Presents shall come
Greeting
Whereas a Treaty was concluded at Fort Harmar
on the 9th. Day of January in this present Year with the
Six Nations, Wyandots, Delaware, Chippewa, Ottawa, Peotowa-
tamie & Sac Nations of Indians, and the United States, whereby
Peace & Friendship has been renewed & confirmed between the
United States & the beforementioned Indian Nations -- All the
Citizens & Subjects of the United States are hereby required
to take Notice of the same, & to abstain from every Act of
Hostility, Injury or Injustice to the said Nations & every In-
dividual of the said Nations as they shall answer the con-
trary at their Peril.
Given under my Hand & Seal at Marietta in the
County of Washington & Territory of the United States
North West of the River Ohio 24th. Day of January A.D.
1789 in the thirteenth Year of the Independence of
the United States.
