Charge to the
Log File Retention Task Group
The Electronic Records Committee charges this task group to:
Re-evaluate retention time periods for log files as recommended in the General Schedule for administrative electronic records, particularly section IT-OP-08 Computer Usage Files, to determine the ability of the technical and law enforcement communities to fulfill their assigned tasks if primary data is destroyed prematurely.
