The Carroll County Historical Society’s (http://www.carrollcountyohio.com/History/index.htm) mission is to collect, preserve local history and provide opportunities for connecting the past with our future. The CCHS owns and operates a steam powered flouring mill that produces stone ground flours and corn meal for sale every Thursday. Their three day Fall Festival is located at the Algonquin Mill Complex, which is comprised of the Mill, school house, railroad station, farm house, several barns and storage buildings, a farm museum, several reconstructed log houses and an award winning arboretum. Both the Mill and McCook House are listed in the National Register of Historic Sites.
