Key things to see or do while visiting the site:
The Museum and Education Center features interactive exhibits that use stories of people connected to Adena to give visitors a picture of life in Ohio in the early 1800s. The Center also includes classrooms, meeting and rental space. For information on the rental facilities contact the Site Manager.
Take a guided tour of the mansion to learn more about the daily life of the Worthingtons including the public spaces and the private spaces used for the family. Check hours and seasonality to confirm availability.
Learn more about the Adena culture, some of the people who lived in Ohio estimated to be until 1000 to 500 B.C. The Adena culture was named for an earthwork mound found on the Worthington estate. Although such names are convenient, archaeologists do not know what the people called themselves.
