All projects should assume a start date after April 1, 2013.

The maximum duration of History Fund grants are as follows:

  • Organizational Development grants: up to 12 months
  • Programs & Collections grants: up to 24 months
  • Bricks & Mortar grants: up to 24 months

Grant awards will be announced in February. Grant projects, however, may start no sooner then April. The time between the award announcement and the official start of the grant period gives recipients time to prepare and execute the project agreement and to notify the History Fund of the exact date the project will commence.

All grant funds and match are to be spent during the grant period. No grant funds or match may be spent prior to or after the end of the grant period.
