The Ohio History Connection has extensive resources for you to begin or continue the study of your family's history. The Archives/Library at the Ohio History Center is open to the public Wednesday through Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Librarians are available to help you understand the resources available to you.
We recommend talking to family members about their memories, visiting historical sites, considering joining a local history or genealogical organization, and visiting a library or the Ohio History Store
to find books about Ohio history.
Attend one of our genealogy workshops or webinars.
Review our Research Guides for information about record resources.
Before your visit, you can search for documents, muster rolls, county and state records, newspapers, books, microfilm and so much more using our Online Collection Catalog to find out about the resources we hold in our archives. We also have an on-site membership to Ancestry.com's library database collection that we will help you learn to use in our Research Room at the Ohio History Center.
