Contest Rule Book
Before beginning work on an entry, students, teachers, and parent/guardians should carefully read the contest rulebook.
This contains rules that you must follow to compete in any level of the National History Day program.

District History Day
The History Day competition begins at the district level.
Ohio is divided up into 11 districts. Find your district event.
Ohio History Day
Students who qualify at the their District event are invited to Ohio History Day.

National History Day
The top two projects in each category will be invited to represent Ohio at National History Day in June.

These are the forms that are used at district, state, and National History Day events.
Teachers often use these evaluation forms as Rubrics for NHD classroom projects and students
can use them to provide a self-evaluation of their projects.
