ABOUT THE PROJECT

Every Garden a Munitions Plant: War Gardening in Ohio was created as a companion exhibit to the Ohio Historical Society's Ohio's Garden Path: the Flowering of Our Landscape exhibition. Work on the online exhibit began in January 2005 and the site debuted on April 18, 2005.

• Microsoft Access is used to maintain all contact information, descriptions, metadata, forms and reports on Ohio Memory participants and their submissions
• Digital collections are described using Dublin Core as the metadata framework
• Metadata and images are imported via xml files to Documentum, a digital asset management system
