Intimate dining and private receptions can be offered here, as well as business meetings and small corporate gatherings. The adjoining Elk's Head Tavern can be added for a complete bar service.
The American House Main Dining Room
Capacity:
100 sit-down
90 buffet
120 reception
A fireplace serves as the focal point for this 1860s dining area. Larger and more rustic in appearance than the American House's more intimate dining facilities, the inn's traditionally decorated dining room is a popular place for dinners, banquets, parties, and receptions.

The Garden
Capacity:
60 for sit-down dinners or receptions.
Iron tables and chairs under a trellised canopy are featured in the American House's adjoining garden area.
Providing a captivating backdrop for breakfasts, picnic lunches, teas or early evening suppers, the garden
area also may be combined with the complex's two dining rooms for unique outdoor receptions/indoor repast
combinations. Provisions for indoor use or alternate plans should be made in case of inclement weather.

The Fireside Room
Capacity:
24 for sit-down
40 for receptions
This more intimate dining room, set between the Tin shop and the bank, is perfect for a smaller gathering. The room has a fireplace, candles lining the room, and all the atmosphere of a nineteenth-century style family dining room.
