National History Day in Ohio could not exist without your support. Find information below on how to continue your History Day adventure or how to support the program as a judge, volunteer, or with a donation.
Be a History Day Judge
We always need lots of judges for both district and state events. We are looking for teachers and professors, historians, museum professionals, and anyone with a love of History! The judge sign-up form allows you to request a specific History Day category that aligns with your profession or experience. If you have no preference, no problem! We'll find a category that needs your help. Before the History Day contest you will receive your judging assignment with information on the category you will be judging and a contest rule book to read through prior to the event. The packet you receive will also contain information about what time you will need to arrive at the competition location for your judge orientation session and further instructions.
Sign up to judge the District 6 contest (March 23) and/or the state contest (April 27). If you would like to sign up to judge another district contest, please contact the district coordinator in your local area.
Interested in becoming a judge? Join our judge mailing list to be informed of upcoming judging opportunities.
Be a History Day Volunteer
We can always use extra hands at the History Day competitions to help with registration, loading and unloading projects, t-shirt and souvenir sales, runners and hall/door monitors while judging is taking place, and more!
