OHS Microfilm Closed December 12-19
The Ohio Historical Society (OHS) announced today that access to the Microfilm Room and microfilm collections in the Archives Library Research Room will be temporarily closed December 12-19 in order to accommodate renovations to the space. Please note that the closing affects only the Microfilm Room. The main Archives/Library Research Room will remain open. The Microfilm Room will re-open with full access to the microfilm collections on Thursday, December 20.
The OHS Archives/Library contains one of the largest collections of Ohio microfilm in existence. Over 48,000 rolls of microfilm of contain Ohio newspapers from the late 18th-century to the present. The Society also manages an extensive collection of microfilm of government records and manuscript collections. Microfilm is available for use in the Society's Research Room or through interlibrary loan. A complete list of all the newspapers, including both filmed and unfilmed (original paper) titles, that are available for use at the Ohio Historical Society's Archives/Library can be accessed using the Online Collection Catalog at /collections--archives/online-collections-catalog
