The Ohio Historical Society has extensive resources for you to begin or continue your study of your family’s history. The Archives/Library at the Ohio History Center is open to the public Wednesday through Saturday, and librarians are available to help you understand the resources available to you there. In addition there are numerous online resources that you can access anywhere anytime. Plus, we encourage you to attend a genealogy workshop; some are held at Ohio History Center and some at the Columbus Metropolitan Library.
And, of course we recommend talking to family members about their memories, visiting historical sites, considering joining a local history or genealogical organization, and visiting a library or the Ohio History Shop to find books about Ohio history. See the links below for many details.
