Ohio Historical Center Tours Shows What's Special About Ohio
(COLUMBUS, OH) - Looking for something fun to do on Sunday afternoons this fall? Take a tour of Uncommon Ohio at the Ohio Historical Center and find out what's so special about the Buckeye State.
Special guided tours of galleries at the Ohio Historical Center will be offered on the first Sunday of October, November and December at 1 and 3 p.m., with related hands-on family activities in the museum from 1-4:30 p.m. Different each month, the tours highlight Ohio objects that are odd, curious, special, peculiar, rare, and puzzling. Don’t miss them!
October 4: "Oddities and Curiosities"
November 1: "It Came from Ohio"
December 6: "History Whatzit?"
The tours are free with admission to the Ohio Historical Center: $8/adults, $7/senior (age 60 and up), $4/youth (ages 6-12) and free for OHS members and children 5 years old and under. Parking is $4 and free for members. The Ohio Historical Center is located on I-71 and 17th Avenue. It is one of 58 historic museums and sites operated by the Ohio Historical Society, a nonprofit organization that serves as the state's partner in preserving and interpreting Ohio's history, archaeology and natural history.
