Vietnam POW To Speak At The Field Of Honor July 14, 2009
(Wapakoneta, Ohio) - The Tri County Field of Honor will host Vietnam Prisoner of War, Guy Gruters July 14th at 9:00pm on the grounds of the Armstrong Air & Space Museum.
Guy currently works with his brother as a writer/editor and professional speaker about the POW experience. His mission he is working towards is to strengthen families. Guy volunteered for Vietnam and served six years in Vietnam, more than five as a POW. He completed more than 400 combat missions and a Field Air Command. His awards include two Silver Stars, two Distinguished Flying Cross, two Purple Hears, a bronze star for valor, a Presidential Unit citation, a Distinguished Unit citation, and numerous air and other medals. He was shot down twice and captured the second time, on December 20, 1967.
Come hear his heroic presentation of his experience and witness the true sacrifice of an American Soldier. All programs are free to the public.
