McDonald's® of Central Ohio Announces Fund-raising Partnership with the Ohio Historical Society
Visit McDonald's® May 30 and Help Raise Money for Your Local OHS Site!
(COLUMBUS, Ohio) – In conjuction with the Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian Happy Meal Toys, premiering at McDonald's May 22, the central Ohio Co-Op for McDonald's Restaurants is raising money for the Ohio Historical Society (OHS).
On Sat., May 30, $.50 from the sale of every Happy Meal sold in central Ohio will be donated to OHS.
Funds raised in Franklin and surrounding counties will benefit OHS historic sites and museums: the Ohio Historical Center (Columbus); Harding Home/Tomb (Marion County); Newark Earthworks (Licking County); Wahkeena Preserve (Fairfield County); and Adena Mansion & Gardens (Ross County).
"McDonald's is excited to support the work of the Ohio Historical Society throughout central Ohio," said Jeff Newman, local owner/operator and president of McDonald's central Ohio marketing cooperative. "It's such a worthy organization. They not only take care of Ohio's history but bring it alive for all of us. We know that our customers will come out to support them."
In addition, McDonald's will be sponsoring a Night at the Museum event at the Ohio Historical Center Sat., June 20, 7 – 11 p.m. Tickets will be $12 for adults and $9 for youth with member discounts available.
