"A Convergence of Sculpture"
Show Opening: Friday, April 10, 2009
On Friday, April 10 from 5 to 8 PM, a diverse group of sculptors will open an exhibition of original work in the new second-floor gallery at the Harriet Beecher Stowe House.
The new exhibit titled "A Convergence of Sculpture" and curated by Bill Feinberg, features the works of sculptors from a wide range of backgrounds and interests: Forest Atkins, Christopher S. Daniel, Deborah Davidson, Bill Feinberg, Nancy Gollobin, Harriet Kaufman, Ray Miller, and Barbara Bartlett Patterson. The artists employ a variety of media including limestone, alabaster, steel, ceramics, and wood.
The closing reception for the exhibit will be held on Friday, May 22 from 5 to 8 PM.
From December 1 through April 30, the Stowe House is open from 10 AM to 2 PM Saturday and 10 to noon on Wednesday. Summer hours, beginning on May 1, are from 10 AM to 2 PM Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. All visitors are welcome. There is free admission this exhibit but donations are greatly appreciated. The new second-floor gallery is available for displays by new displays of new art.
