Historic Site Technician III/Part-Time Year-Round
Summary:
Responsible for maintenance and repair of non-fixed Equipment, Hardware, Ceilings, Walls, Lighting, Furniture, Heating and Cooling Units, and Plumbing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Installs and maintains lighting, plumbing, and other public use fixtures.
- Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on fixed and non-fixed equipment, including condenser units.
- Operate hot water heating boilers, supporting pumps, and supply/return air fans.
- Maintains appearance of ceilings, walls, doorframes, and doors.
- Operates and maintains air conditioning equipment.
- Monitors building systems on periodic basis as Engineer of Record.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent plus five or more years of building maintenance experience or equivalency. Knowledge of codes, standards, and safety practices as they relate to this position.
Language Skills:
Ability to communicate with staff.
Mathematical Skills:
Requires basic mathematical skills.
Technical Skills:
Considerable mechanical aptitude.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.
Physical Demands:
Prolonged walking or standing, repeated stooping, squatting, stretching, climbing of ladders. Requires hand-eye coordination in utilizing equipment and tools. Frequent lifting and carrying materials up to 50 pounds. Fine manual dexterity necessary to repair or replace fine components. Ability to work under high stress conditions.
Work Environment:
On-site work area environment. Frequent exposure to mechanical and electrical hazards. Requires flexibility to work weekends, holidays, or other non-business hours on a periodic basis as needed. Works in conditions of heat, cold, wetness, dust, rain, and snow.
