As director of the Governor’s Office of Appalachia from 1991-1993, she served as liaison between federal, state and local governments in securing federal funding for Ohio’s 29 Appalachian counties, for local water, sewer, healthcare, education, and transportation projects.
Amember of Marietta City Council from 1979-1983, she served as mayor of Marietta from 1984-1990, during the city’s bicentennial.
She is currently a Marietta College trustee, president of the Betsey Mills Corporation, and on the board of Friends of the Museums, which manages the Campus Martius Museum and Ohio River Museum in Marietta.
Nancy has served on the Capitol Square Foundation Board, Statehouse Women’s Gallery Development Commission, and as chair of the Ohio Bicentennial Commission.
She and her husband, Jeff, live in Marietta.
