Tom Johnson recently retired, June 2012, as assistant vice president of financial services at The Ohio State University. He provided strategic vision and planning to the Office of the University Bursar (OUB), whose role is to collect monies owed for tuition and other fees, and to Student Accounting, which reconciles activities of the OUB.
Previously, Tom served as an executive-in-residence at The Ohio State University’s John Glenn School of Public Affairs.
In 1999, Gov. Bob Taft appointed him director of the Office of Budget and Management, where he served until 2006. Prior to that appointment, he served in the Ohio House of Representatives, where he chaired the Finance and Appropriations Committee from 1995-1998.
Tom lives in Upper Arlington with his wife, Joyce. They have two grown children.
