A stay-at-home father since 2001, Ron Ungvarsky has over 17 years of experience in the areas of natural resources, mining law, public lands, health care, transportation, energy, appropriations, education,legislative operations, and constituent relations.

He has served as counsel to Federal Mine Safety and Health Review Commissioner James C. Riley; staff attorney for the Migrant Legal Action Program in Washington, D.C.; legislative director for U.S. Rep. Austin J. Murphy of Pennsylvania; associate counsel for the U.S. House of Representatives Subcommittee on Labor Standards, Occupational Health and Safety; and as campaign assistant and legislative assistant for special projects to Rep. Frank Harrison of Pennsylvania.

Ron has been a member of the American Cancer Society’s Franklin County Advisory Board, a volunteer carpenter/builder for Habitat for Humanity, an Annual Giving Fund and Scholarship Fund volunteer for Columbus School for Girls, and has been an active volunteer in many campaigns for office.

Ron lives in Bexley with his wife, Susan, and daughter,Victoria.
