George Jones joined the Manhattan Group in Toledo, Ohio, in 1980 and later served as president for one year before becoming chair of the board in 1993. He served as co-chair of the Fort Meigs Campaign Cabinet, which raised more than $1 million to support Fort Meigs, and now serves as president of the Fort Meigs Cabinet, a friends group dedicated to the continued maintenance, improvement, and viability of the War of 1812 site.

He is active on boards of several community organizations, including the Toledo Museum of Art, Toledo Symphony Orchestra, Lucas County/Maumee Valley Historical Society, Clement O. Minger Memorial Foundation, Museum of American Financial History and Fort Ticonderoga. Previously he was involved with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Toledo and WGTE Public Broadcasting.

George and his wife, Kathy, live in Toledo.
